Over the past few months, our Then & Now campaign has been a celebration of beginnings, growth, and the stories that make every school unique. We began by looking back at the TrilbyTV story itself. From our early days to becoming a trusted digital signage platform used by schools across the UK and beyond, we’ve reflected on the milestones, innovations and people who have helped shape our journey.
Along the way, we’ve explored how communication in schools has evolved, highlighted the power of smart signage, and even shared a few throwback photos of the TrilbyTV team. From childhood ambitions to career beginnings, those moments reminded us that every journey starts somewhere.

Schools sharing their stories
However, Then & Now was never just about us. At its core, this campaign has been about schools: celebrating where they’ve come from, recognising how they’ve evolved, and showcasing the stories that continue to inspire their communities today.
One of the most rewarding parts of the campaign has been seeing schools embrace the theme and tell their own stories. The most popular approach has been the change in school buildings, just like the example below. Thank you to Deputy Network Manager Chad Austin for sharing this Then & Now moment from Culcheth High School.

What schools say about TrilbyTV
As part of the campaign, we also asked schools to reflect on their experiences with TrilbyTV and what they would say to others considering digital signage.
For Brentwood School, the answer was simple: “We would recommend it. TrilbyTV is an effective and engaging platform that has significantly enhanced communication across our school community.”

Thank you to Brentwood School for sharing this incredible content. After all, not everyone can look back and say that Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II once stood on their front steps – what an unforgettable chapter in the school’s history.
At Caludon Castle School, digital signage has become far more than a communication tool. It has evolved into a platform for celebration, recognition and school identity. Myke Grimes, IT Support said, “Having a professional, polished way to showcase student achievement fosters a deep sense of pride. It’s not a gimmick – it’s a genuine tool for enhancement.”
Myke also highlighted the importance of choosing a solution that works seamlessly within a school’s existing environment:

Looking ahead
While Then & Now may be coming to an end, the stories certainly aren’t. Schools continue to evolve. New students arrive, staff move into new roles, achievements are celebrated, and communities grow stronger with every passing year. Today’s “now” quickly becomes tomorrow’s “then”.
We’re incredibly grateful to every school that shared their story, contributed memories, and helped bring this campaign to life. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that every school has a story worth celebrating.
