Video Quality Settings
A newer version of this article can be found at support.trilbytv.co.uk
By default, all video added to TrilbyTV is compressed in several formats suitable for playback on TrilbyTV Player devices from different manufacturers and in our web players.
We save the video at a resolution of 480 which provides a good quality at a reasonable file size. This makes it fast to download and helps to save memory space on player devices.
If you have a large format screen and would like the video to be saved in higher resolutions to increase the quality you can do this in the System Dashboard. You can turn the video quality settings on stage by stage, when you do this the system will begin to recompress any videos in your content feed and this will take some time.
Turning on HD 720 will recompress your videos to 720 resolution, This will only work on videos with an original uploaded quality of 720 or higher.
Turning on Full HD 1080 will recompress your videos to 1080 resolution, This will only work on videos with an original uploaded quality of 1080 or higher.
Turning on Ultra HD 4k will recompress your videos to 4k resolution, This will only work on videos with an original uploaded quality of 4k or higher.
Note: The original uploaded video is always saved and can be downloaded from the Edit page.
