Just in time for Valentines Day, we teamed up with Adobe and The Arty Teacher to bring you a creative webinar: For the Love of Art. With heart themed artwork, it was a suitably seasonal session designed to spark new ideas for your school’s digital signage.
Terri, our Head of Relationships, was joined by two passionate educators: Nicole O’Connor, Education Community Lead at Adobe, and Sarah Crowther, creator of The Arty Teacher. Together, they explored how to use Adobe’s creative educational tools in the classroom and extend their impact with TrilbyTV. If you missed the webinar, you can watch the recording on-demand.

Adobe Express with Nicole O’Connor
Kicking things off, Nicole introduced Adobe Express. Nicole’s passion for digital creativity has taken her from educator to entrepreneur and everything in between. As a hyperactive collaborator, she dove into building and engaging with communities of practice in 2020 and hasn’t looked back!
In her role as Adobe’s Education Community Lead in Europe, she is often found celebrating, supporting and learning from the incredible teachers who leverage Adobe for Education to bring their curriculum to life and empower the next generation of creators and thinkers.
In the webinar, Nicole explored the vibrant world of digital art by pushing Adobe Express to the limits! Inspired by the bold patterns of artist Romero Britto, the demo guided viewers through the process of building a bright, patterned heart and bringing it to life through animation. We learned how to leverage drawing tools, colouring modes, and AI-generated templates to create visually stunning pieces that celebrate visual joy.
Adobe Fresco with The Arty Teacher
Next up, Sarah Crowther dug into the creative powers of Adobe Fresco. If you don’t know Sarah, she’s a secondary school art teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience and the founder of The Arty Teacher, a global platform supporting art educators.
She created The Arty Teacher to share her passion for art education and to provide high-quality, classroom-tested resources that save teachers time, and support engaging, dynamic lessons. Having taught students with a wide range of abilities, Sarah understands the realities of teaching art and designs resources to help every student succeed. She regularly creates new materials, collaborates with contemporary artists, and delivers professional development rooted firmly in classroom practice.
During the session, Sarah shared a range of projects she’s created within Adobe Fresco for the classroom including self-portraits, digital collages, botanical line drawings and impressionist paintings. She then went on to talk about some of the features of Adobe Fresco and how they align with core digital skills for students including working with brushes, images and layers to build classrooms of confident students.
The pièce de résistance of Sarah’s demo was work inspired by the artist Jim Dine’s heart paintings – perfect for Valentines Day. Sarah demonstrated how even simple shapes can become powerful, painterly outcomes. No advanced drawing skills required!

Celebrate art on your digital signage
Finally, Terri showed the audience how to share finished creations on school digital signage in just a few clicks. While digital signage is a great way to communicate important announcements and practical information, it’s also an effective and easy way to share student work and celebrate creativity.
It’s simple to upload images, videos and animations in just a few seconds. Once your creations are in your feed, you can choose when and where you want to display them with flexible Schedules, Playlists and Categories. With customisable user management, you could even let your students add their work themselves and then you just need to approve it before it goes live.
We hope this session left you with practical ideas and creative inspiration to display on your screens throughout the spring term and beyond. If you’re a TrilbyTV customer and you’d like more inspiration for your signage content, why not join one of our monthly Community Drop-In sessions? They take place on the last Wednesday of every month and you can drop in any time to ask our team anything you like!
