The world of SEN schools is packed with moments of creativity and inspiration. Capturing, sharing, and showcasing these moments is a great use for digital signage. TrilbyTV is an easy way to keep everyone connected and builds a sense of community amongst staff, pupils, and the wider school community.
Cedar Lodge School is no stranger to community engagement. For the past ten years, the school has used TrilbyTV to engage, inspire and inform students, staff and families. Our latest case study video explores how they use TrilbyTV digital signage to give their students a way to show off their creativity and celebrate their achievements.
Teachers, support staff and even pupils can add content to TrilbyTV. Once approved, it will be shown on screens around the school within minutes. A video of pupils in action is a great way to celebrate their achievements. Using signage to communicate daily structure and transport updates ensures everyone is working on the same timescale.
Check our features page for a full rundown of our education-focused digital signage platform.
Use your signage to show what’s happening and when. A link to a calendar is easy to set up and what is shown on signage screens will always be updated live from the calendar feed. Display a calendar for each day to enable independence and help keep pupils on track or use a weekly calendar in the staff room to highlight whole school events.
Simple to make and upload, a slideshow can come from a set of images directly on your Camera Roll or from a PowerPoint, Keynote, or Canva. Drop your images into TrilbyTV, and we’ll sort them out while some basic editing tools help you set the focus for your slides – then just click Save.
Automatically change screen content based on the time of day or day of the week. Set up a schedule on a per-screen basis and copy that to any number of screens to keep things in sync.
The fact is that TrilbyTV has been in Cedar Lodge now for around ten years – that says a lot. This is something that’s now part of our day-to-day structure to the school. We make sure that the screens are on in the morning because there are things to show. It’s not just a gimmick or something we do once a term.
