Inspired by Captain Moore’s 100 laps of his garden I’m going to complete my own 100 something challenge for charity. For the next 100 days I will on alternate days run 5K and cycle 20K giving a total of 1250K. Through wind, rain or shine and wherever I am in the UK (when life returns to normal) I will put on the running shoes and get on the bike to complete this challenge. I want to split the funds between The Matt Kendall Foundation and the NHS.
MKF was set up in memory of our good friend Matt Kendall and is focused on helping young people in the West Midlands. We are extremely lucky in the UK to have the NHS and not just during these difficult times. Not so long ago, I was admitted to hospital with a stomach ulcer, the care and support I received was simply amazing. So that’s the idea!
Not sure if it’s a big challenge but it’s something I can do to raise some money and spend time thinking about those I love, the crazy world we live in and those amazing people who make the crazy world a safer place. I’d like to think some of you will join in helping to raise funds for these very worthy causes. So give a little if you can or simply spread the word.
