Our Celebrating Success webinar with Customer Success Manager Tom kicks off at 10am on Thursday, 21st March. With the theme of “Be excellent to each other”, the webinar explores how to create a supportive, fun and positive learning environment with the content you are making and displaying on your digital signage.
We’re fortunate to work with amazing schools who understand the importance of student involvement and collaborative working. During the live webinar, Tom will be showcasing – how involving students in creating content for your digital signage will make them feel appreciated and understood. Tom will be looking at some of the great examples from schools using TrilbyTV that have been made for connecting with the community.
During a recent visit to Harris Academy Orpington, we spoke with Jodie Austin, PA to the Headteacher who told us how sharing positive messaging and spreading kindness via the messages on your digital signage can really make an impact on someone’s day,
“It might just seem like a really small drop in the ocean, to put an inspirational quote on the TV. But when they walk past that quote, it could be something that changes their whole day or their whole perspective. I think it humanises the school and it shows that we care and we want the best for them.”
Creating a positive environment for learning
Imagine if student projects sparked discussions, their ideas began shaping policies and sharing their successes made a difference. That’s the impact we want with the content that’s created for your screens. From celebrating academic wins to highlighting creative projects, we want to make students proud of their learning journey.
How we approach learning can be really important. Tom told us how this is relevant with a personal anecdote,
“I’ve been teaching my daughter to brush her teeth. We need her to learn to do it daily as it has a huge benefit to her health. The only thing we really have control over is making sure she doesn’t experience it negatively. It’s never forced and always stopped when she wants to. In this example, brushing = learning!”
“Now in schools, you can’t control every negative element (bullying, lack of sleep, etc) but you can easily ramp up more positivity. By getting students involved, they’re enjoying the learning space, and so learning comes more easily as they’re in the right frame of mind to take on new information.”
