Last week, the TrilbyTV team joined thousands of fellow education professionals at Bett UK. From January 22nd to 25th, attendees from all over the world joined together at the Excel in London for the world’s biggest edtech event. Bett gets bigger and more exciting every year with innovative suppliers and talks from famous names, including Stephen Fry and Michael Rosen.
This isn’t our first time at Bett, though – the team has been involved for 15 years! We’ve enjoyed watching the event evolve from the early days back at Olympia London to today. There’s so much to see and do, but our favourite part is meeting new people and familiar faces to share our enthusiasm for education.

A shared passion for building community in education
Set up with five screens showcasing the power of TrilbyTV, we welcomed hundreds of educators to our stand. We loved talking to people from a range of different settings about how TrilbyTV’s digital signage platform, built for education, helps to bring communities together in schools, colleges, universities and more.
One of the main themes in our discussions was the importance of an easy-to-use, cost-effective way to share key messages with students, staff and parents. In busy establishments, it can be easy for important information to be missed. Many of our visitors were impressed with the way digital content can grab viewers’ attention without fading into the background.
Another hot topic was the value of showcasing and celebrating communities. Many educators were looking for new ways to highlight student work as well as individual and collective achievements, such as sports team wins and charity fundraisers. TrilbyTV offers an easy and flexible way to share these important updates at the click of a button.

Showcasing new TrilbyTV features and content
Bett is also a fantastic opportunity to catch up with some of our current customers, to find out what they’ve been up to and tell them all about our new releases. This year, we were particularly excited to share new content from WWF that encourages students to get out into nature. We’re always adding to our Content Catalogue with ready-made educational resources which are an easy way to keep your signage fresh.
Our features for Multi Academy Trusts were a popular talking point too. It was great to catch up with Transform Trust who starred in our latest video case study. The trust uses TrilbyTV across its 26 schools not only to share important information with pupils but also to communicate with staff about wellbeing, benefits and key updates.
To find out about our customers’ inspiring work, why not look at our case studies?

Collaborating with edtech partners
Last but certainly not least, we love to take the opportunity to meet with our partners while we’re at Bett. We had many exciting conversations with software, hardware and content partners about how we can make TrilbyTV even more valuable and accessible to educators everywhere.
A highlight was being invited to speak at a Better Together session with Jamf. Ben Stanley, Director at TrilbyTV, took to the stage alongside Mat Pullen, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Education at Jamf. Focusing on purposeful deployment, the session showed how TrilbyTV works seamlessly alongside Jamf’s Apple device management tool. Ben talked about how schools can bring more purpose to content generated on iPads by making it possible to share across the school on digital signage. He also shared how to use Apple TV as a flexible classroom signage option, which you can read more about on the Jamf blog.
