Thoughts & considerations
We got some time with them both to talk about their roles, Tom started by telling us what you should first consider when planning your digital signage journey,
“Signage may be new but we experience it every day, sometimes without even realising. From walking through a train station, waiting at the doctors, to walking down the high street, all come with messages informing and inspiring us. Think about what makes them stand out and apply the same elements to your designs.”
“Digital signage can influence the way we think and act. Are you trying to get more students enrolled in clubs, or attend school events? Are staff missing vital messages from the school or trust? Clear communication can increase engagement, improve collaboration and drive a positive impact in line with the school’s ethos.”
Tom also told us how important showcasing student voice is when displaying your content,
“Student voice and wellbeing has been a growing aspect of school life across the UK. Digital signage is the perfect space to unleash student creativity, allowing them to raise their concerns and share their interests. Think about setting up a media club and you’ll have all your content created for you, by your talented students!”

Tom went on to say
“Take the time to watch your displays. If you’re putting out 3 minutes of content, sit through those 3 minutes and review whether the messaging was clear. Better yet, get a staff or student team to watch and critique so that you know your audience is engaged.”
Terri told us,
“Digital signage speaks to students in their own language. It’s a great way to share information and impact the minds of tomorrow. They are our future doctors, nurses, artists, authors, political leaders and so much more.”
“TrilbyTV allows you to control and curate the messages shown to your community; Use it to inspire, educate and uplift them. We strive to make your digital signage journey a smooth one and our expertise is yours to tap into at any time. We have expert blogs and a vast knowledge base that’s also available when we’re not!”

Customer experience
When we visited Harris Academy Orpington, Jodie Austin, PA to the Headteacher told us about their experience with onboarding,
“During our onboarding sessions with Tom, TrilbyTV was so much more straightforward than I ever imagined it would have been. During the session Tom was showing me examples and saying ‘try this, just add this bit and if you don’t like it you can change it and here’s how you can create an announcement. Tom gave me the reassurance and confidence I didn’t realise I needed until I’d done it.”
“Onboarding is definitely beneficial, it was probably one of the best half hours I’ve ever spent because Tom was great, very professional but really approachable and friendly. Tom explained that the session is there to make my life easier. I was sent an email after the session with all of the links and any training info I might need, along with some examples. I was really glad this was offered and it was 100% worth it. If I ever had any issues I’d have no problem just contacting and asking Tom ‘do you think you could help me with this?’ because I know that he would. The platform is easy to use without the support, but if you have the onboarding sessions, things will be infinitely better for you.”
“It’s been a great experience, the onboarding by Tom with the demonstration of capabilities was hugely beneficial and opened up further avenues of engagement and opportunity for parents and staff. It was a fairly new venture for us as a school and it’s going to open up a whole range of possibilities within departments in different areas – it’ll be fantastic. Once we can roll it out across all the heads of departments I think it’s going to be wonderful. I would 100% recommend TrilbyTV, over and over again it’s the easiest decision ever.”

“Super quick and friendly response! Always a pleasure with Terri – thanks again.”

Impact & engagement
While visiting Marketing and Communications Manager for United Learning’s Salford Cluster, Cheryl Cain, she spoke about her TrilbyTV onboarding experience,
“Tom’s been so helpful, helping us to brainstorm different ideas. I hadn’t used digital signage before I began working at SCA but as soon as I had the initial training with Tom, I found TrilbyTV really straightforward to use. Now, we really want to refine and expand our approach across the cluster. It’s been really good to work with Tom to ensure we are creating maximum impact with our digital signage and best engaging our students. We are all very grateful to Tom for his advice and support.”

Finally, Tom said,
“You’ll get plenty of TV and movie references from me, and for digital signage with TrilbyTV I call upon the 1999 cult classic that changed everything, The Matrix. “I can only show you the door, you’re the one that has to walk through it”. TrilbyTV is there to provide a simple platform for sharing various types of media. What you make, and how it looks, has to be in your control to make your signage personal, unique and on-brand.”
Our customer success team is here to make sure our customers are happy, help us grow and build strong relationships. Being trusted advisors who go the extra mile to ensure product satisfaction and sharing how to create content that will captivate the intended audience.
